[Introduction] [Festival Activities] [Festival Events] Exhibition& Gallery of International Design Works Besides one of most beautiful costal city in China, Qingdao is the city where all Sail Race Contests are held in Olympic Game 2008. During the Festival, the government will host tender conferences on design of projects, such as Olympic stadium & village, city layout, infrastructure and city VI etc. Also Qingdao is the city where most of top Chinese light-industrial giants locate, such as Haier, Hisense, Aucma, Double Star, Qingdao Beer etc, there enjoys most important industrial design markets. A market & participants interactive platform is expected to be set up through the exhibition & gallery. The exhibition & design is expected to chronicle the theme of the Festival, "Design and City Life", from aspects of city layout, symbolic architecture, interior design, landscaping, public utilities, transportation means, industrial design, packaging design, corporate identity and so on. The Golden Trumpet Shell Prize, the USD10000 worth grand prize in the Festival, is to be awarded from the Exhibits after stringent appraisal by the jury consisted of tens of most famous designers home and abroad. Designers and design institutes in above categories regardless age, gender, nationality, and genre are warmly welcomed. Exhibits are presented in gallery if submitted in disc by post or in booth if in physical forms. ( Duty-free imported for exhibition) For gallery, USD250 every meter, including free 1440dpi spray-paint and facture. For booth, USD700 every 3mx3m standard, including exhibition boards with 3 sides, 1 table, 2 chairs, 2 lights, 220v plug, 1 fascia, 1 garbage can, mineral water and paper cups.
