A
Brief Introduction to CIFIT
The
6th China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT),sponsored
by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC)
of the People's Republic of China, the 6th CIFIT will be held
in Xiamen during September 8~11, 2002. Delegates from governments
at the provincial level throughout China and relevant state ministries,
commissions, offices, bureaus, and associations will attend the
Fair as affiliates to promote their investment projects as well
as enterprise products.
CIFIT,
held successfully for five consecutive sessions, is the sole national
event for investment promotion with a focus on foreign direct
investment (FDI). Besides serving as an important window for international
capital's flow into China, CIFIT also furnishes a golden opportunity
for the flow of Chinese capital to the world at large.
The
major activities of the 6th CIFIT include Investment and Trade
Exhibitions, Business Negotiations, the International Investment
Forum, Seminars on Current Hot Investment Issues, Welcoming Banquet,
Opening Ceremony, Press conferences, etc.
A
wide spectrum of international investors, traders, intermediate
agencies, and financial institutions, as well as representatives
from foreign-funded investment companies in China, overseas companies,
and overseas investment promotion organizations to participate
and to set up booths at the Fair.
CIFIT
affords the premier opportunity to obtain the most up-to-date
investment policies and information in China, to make fact-finding
investigations on foreign investment projects in China, and to
meet a broad contingent of economic and trade officials from different
levels throughout the nation, as well as assuring a broad comprehension
of the investment environment throughout China. CIFIT has proven

The
